Kid's First Totebag

Kid's First Totebag

Need to learn the basics?

This class is a great beginner class! Instructor Michelle Thomas will teach you the basics about your machine, how to thread it, wind a bobbin, testing sewing and simple construction of a very useful bag. This class will teach you how to adhere an interfacing to fabric to make projects sturdier and how to make fabric handles and a liner for a large tote bag. The pattern, instructions and interfacing will all be provided by the instructor. Other supplies must be purchased prior to class and we encourage you to bring your own machine to class.
Note: Kid's class is ages 9+ and the parents/guardians should be comfortable leaving the child and having them use an iron after instruction by the teacher. If parents want to help their child and sew with them, we encourage you to purchase a spot in the class as well.

Level: Beginner, ages 9-17
Two part class: February 24 and March 3, from 1-3pm
