Sew a coat or structured cape at The Sewing Hive with Gail and Jamie, October 19-20 from 9am-2pm.
Learn coat making techniques like lining, interfacing, adding collars, handwork, setting in sleeves, adding pockets and details. Confidently sew a coat or cape that will be comfortable and last through the years.

Please schedule a pattern fitting and consultation with us if you are using a pattern you haven’t used before.
Medium to heavy weight coating fabrics such as melton, boiled or felted wool. Extra fabric if there is a one-way design, plaids, etc. See patterns for yardage and if lining fabrics, fusibles, notions, etc are required.

Basic wool type coat pattern or Sapporo Coat from PaperCut Patterns

Please launder or dry clean as needed and pre-cut fabric before class begins.
