Pleated skirts create a great silhouette with lots of movement, so it’s fun to wear!
You can make yours a midi or maxi for going casual or dressing up.

In this class you will learn to sew in side pockets, create pleats and add hook and eyes to the invisible zipper closure.

Simplicity Pattern 8743

1 ¼ yards lightweight fusible interfacing

Matching all-purpose thread

7” invisible zipper

2 hook and eye closures

Fabric such as brocade, sateen, satin, taffeta, lightweight denim.

Pease launder your fabric before the class in the same manner as you will upon completion of skirt. We don’t want it to shrink after all your hard work!

(extra fabric for matching plaid or motifs) in these quantities:

Maxi skirt needs 5 ⅜ yards in 60” wide fabric

Tea length skirt needs 4 ⅛ yards in 60” wide fabric or 4 ½ yards for 45” wide fabric for sizes 6-22

Midi length skirt needs 3 ⅜ yards in 45”-60” wide fabric or for sizes 6-22

Mini length skirt needs 2 ⅝ yards in 45-60” wide fabric for sizes 6-22
