Summer Sewing Camps for Kids

150.00

With Michelle Thomas, from Baby Gees:

Each Session is $150 for 5 days.

These classes are kids ages 8+. It is best if you bring your own machine but if you do not have one, you can rent one from us. We would like you to feel comfortable leaving your child for class, but if you would rather join in, you can also purchase a spot in the class and learn right along with them. These classes are intended for skill building but we can always review techniques with students in later classes.

June 17-21, 9-11:30am

We will work on threading the machine, the various stitch types, good sewing practices such as backstitching, ironing, etc. We will make a drawstring bag, a simple elastic waist skirt and a zipper pouch.

July 8-12, 9-11:30am

We will review the operation of the machine and make a simple patchwork quilt. We will cover the basics of quilting including hand sewing the binding when finished. There are many steps to making a quilt so if we have some accelerated students and they get done, I can always prep other projects for them to work on once done.

August 12-16, 9-11:30am

We will review the operation of the machine and make several fun projects such as a tote bag,
