Understanding Garment/Pattern Fitting


The class instructor will discuss and demonstrate how to evaluate and adjust a pattern for challenging fitting issues, such as sloping, or rolling forward shoulders, gaping necklines or  armholes, full or slender arms, the list goes on. We will evaluate the needs of the group at the beginning and then work on those issues. Students will participate as models for practice on each other with tissue patterns. No in depth Bust Adjustments will be covered in this class.

Basic sewing experience required. Ages 15 and up .

One 3 hour session

No supplies needed, but you can bring items of clothing that you feel do not fit well so that we can decide what needs done to make the garment fit well. Students should wear close-fit clothing to allow for proper measurements.
