  • Supplies:

  • 3 Yards of a Mid-Weight Knit fabric. Sew To Speak has several lovely knits that will work well for this class.

  • Thread to match your fabric.

  • All items needed to cut and sew: bring your machine or reserve of of our class machines ($10/session)

Fusing tape and interfacing will be supplied.

  • Important: Please launder your fabric in the manner that you will clean the dress once it is made; we want any shrinkage to happen before the dress is cut and constructed. If wool knit, ask dry cleaners to steam your yardage, if washable, simply follow the fabric cleaning instructions.

Bring a pattern of your choice: SewOverIt’s Eve dress pattern, or Cashmerette’s Appleton dress pattern. Both of these are available as PDF copy shop, which means you can download the pattern and we can print out for you using our large format printer: one long sheet, versus taping the 8.5X11 sheets. There is a charge of .75 cents per square ft, or about $9 for an average size pattern.
