Donna Sikyta’s passion for fabric started a young age when she began experimenting by sewing doll clothes, costumes, and later prom dresses. This curiosity led to her formal education in Fashion Design and sewing is in her DNA. Her early career, which included pattern making and product development roles piqued her interest in working more closely with factories around the world. He current profession in Corporate Social Responsibility has led her to fulfill desires to help others by volunteering as a stylist for Dress for Success, career mentoring, and even pattern testing for a major sewing publication.
She has channeled her passion for textiles and sustainability, into a new startup company, The Sustainery, where she hopes to connect the creative community with reused, recycled and repurposed textiles through an on-line marketplace.
