On-Demand Classes

If you see a class you want to take but no dates are listed, or the listed dates don't work with your schedule, we can help.
After you select the “on-demand” option and purchase the class, we will contact you to schedule a date and time that works.

Make sure you check your email so you can get on the schedule. The expiration for an On-Demand purchase is 6 months from the purchase. Our instructors will reach out to you through email. Please email our scheduling manager here if you haven’t seen an email from an instructor within 24 hours of your purchase.
You are important to us, and we want to make sure you always have a seat at the studio when you need it.

Gift Cards

We offer gift cards that you can use to purchase a lesson, buy a machine, or get sewing supplies, fabric, A0 copies, meetups, etc.

These are good for one year from the date of purchase.

If you want a physical gift card that looks like a credit card, we can have it ready for pickup or mail it to you.
If you want it sent to your email, you can order online from our website.


The Sewing Hive Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Our teachers dedicate significant time to preparing for each class, and their income depends on class enrollment. Filling each seat and planning for a successful class often requires 2–4 weeks of preparation. Thank you for respecting their time and supporting our teaching team.

Single-Day Classes

  • Cancellations made at least 2 weeks before the class start date: Eligible for a refund.

  • Cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the class start date: Non-refundable and cannot be credited or rescheduled.

Courses, Multi-Day Classes & Camps

  • Cancellations made at least 4 weeks before the start date: Eligible for a refund.

  • Cancellations made less than 4 weeks before the start date: Non-refundable and cannot be credited or rescheduled.

If You Are Sick

We understand that illness can happen unexpectedly. If you are sick and unable to attend your scheduled class:

  • Single-day classes: You may request placement on a waitlist for the next time the same class topic is offered. Waitlist placement does not guarantee a spot, and we will contact you when another class opportunity becomes available.

  • Private lesson option: You may choose to order a private lesson with an instructor to learn the class material or complete your project. Private instruction is available at $45–$50 per hour.

Please contact your instructor or email studio@sewinghive.com as soon as possible if you are sick and cannot attend. We encourage students to stay home when they are unwell to protect our students and teaching team.

Missed Classes & Make-Up Options

If you miss a class in a multi-session course or series, please contact your instructor to discuss possible make-up options.

Depending on what you miss, you may need a private lesson to catch up or complete your project. Private instruction is available for $45–$50 per hour.
