Casual Blazer with Jamie

from $250.00

Ready to take your garment sewing skills to the next level? Join us for a three-day weekend workshop and sew your own casual blazer using The Heather Blazer pattern by Friday Pattern Company!
I love this garment because it’s easy to throw on when I want to look professional without feeling too serious. I like to roll up the sleeves and put a fun vintage brooch on the lapel. It’s an oversized style with a simple silhouette, making it a modern, easy first me-made blazer!

Designed for sewists who have already made a couple of garments using commercial sewing patterns, this workshop will help you build confidence with more advanced garment construction techniques. You’ll work step by step with your instructor to create a relaxed, versatile blazer that you’ll be proud to wear.

It includes sizes ranging from 32”-60” bust, 24”-53” waist, and 34”-63” hips.

Along the way, you’ll learn how to create lapels, patch pockets, line a jacket, set-in sleeves, and more.

By the end of the weekend, you’ll have a custom-made blazer and new skills you can carry into future sewing projects!

Supplies you’ll need:
Heather Blazer by Friday Pattern Company (We can print it for you when you send the link from your purchased pattern.)
Main Fabric Woven: Suiting, twill, denim, linen
Lining Fabric Woven: slippery fabric like rayon, satin, silk with a tight weave
Woven interfacing and knit interfacing
All-purpose matching thread
Optional coat button, and optional shoulder pads

Prerequisite: Students should have experience sewing at least two garments from patterns and be comfortable using a sewing machine.

Workshop format: Three-day weekend workshop
I’ll email you to discuss the supply list, new techniques, prep work requirements, and answer any questions you may have.

Come ready to learn, problem-solve, and take your garment sewing to the next level!

Four 3-hour In-Person Sessions.
If the dates don’t work for you, you may register for two to create an on-demand workshop that fits your schedules. Jamie will answer any questions here.
