The Preston Laptop case pattern from Sotak Patterns is the topic for this class. This pattern has measurements for four sizes and instructions on adapting if none of those sizes work for you.
It is padded with a lightweight foam and lightly quilted to hold the foam in place.
Short handles, zip top and internal flap pocket complete the item.

This is an advanced beginner project – if you’ve made a zipper pouch, you can make this case.
Fabric and zipper requirements vary based on the size case you make. If you use a quilting weight cotton, I recommend adding an extra layer of woven interfacing (such as Pellon SF101).
I prefer to use By Annie’s Soft and Stable foam which you can purchase online or it will be available to purchase at the class.
You will need your sewing machine, rotary cutter, ruler, scissors, marking pen and pins or clips for tools. If you have a walking foot, that will make the quilting easier, but is not required.
Registration for this class will close 1 week ahead of the class date. It does require two students to conduct the class.
