Learning how to sew a t-shirt is a great starting class to get you comfortable with sewing knit fabric.
Students will create a T-shirt with short sleeves and a crew neckband.

You’ll learn how use your measurements to adjust patterns to ensure the ideal fit for your unique shape.
You’ll also learn how to construct a t-shirt, step by step, from start to finish, mastering essential skills like cutting, stitching without seam puckers and “bubbles”, and sewing with a twin needle.
BRING TO CLASS:
-The instructions for the Classic Tee pattern by Love Notions, printed or downloaded on your device. Printed and assembled pattern pieces.
-Your tape measure,
-pattern weights, acrylic ruler and rotary, or ball-point pins and fabric scissors,
-jersey machine needles,
-twin needle,
-seam ripper,
-seam gauge,
-fabric marking tool,
-and your sewing machine.
1 ½ cotton jersey fabric and matching all-purpose thread
or purchase a kit here for $15, which has the fabric and thread.
Skill requirements: Knowledge of how to set up and use a sewing machine and how to cut fabric from a pattern, or have attended the Stitch-Style-Create class series.

$95 for 4 hours of instruction over two days for two-four students.
Or $135 for 4 hours of instruction for private lessons.
If you don’t have a sewing machine, you can rent one of ours for $10 per class on the day of class.
