Pull-On-Pants: Joggers and Knit Bottoms
Bring some comfort to your wardrobe as Instructor Jamie Hevener teaches you the basics of sewing joggers.
Or make them with a ponte and zippered pockets for a classic pair of pants with Martha.
This is a great class if you’ve never worked with knit fabric.
SKILLS YOU WILL GAIN:
sewing with stretchy fabrics,
using a twin needle
Getting the correct settings for the type of fabric you use
prevent seam puckers and twisted hems
eliminate skipped stitches and keep your fabric from getting jammed into the feeddogs
measuring for a proper fit,
creating pockets and sewing an elastic waistband.
SKILLS YOU ALREADY NEED TO HAVE:
How to set up, use, and change settings of a home sewing machine
knowledge of how to work with a commercial pattern for a garment and experience of having sewn a garment from a pattern,
How to select the right fabric to determine the appropriateness for a pair of joggers or pants.
