Learn to sew a sweet and sophisticated cami with shorts set to wear at night or as a layering piece during the day.

The pattern we’ll use is The Saffron Ensemble, a free download by Mood Sewciety. It comes in a size range of 2-30.

Please bring to class The Saffron Ensemble pre-assembled or AO copy
All-purpose polyester thread,
Two yards of 1 1/2" stretch lace if you’d like to add lace embellishment
Two yards of 1/4” elastic
Two 1/4" bra rings and two 1/4" bra strap sliders if you’d like to have adjustable straps
MAIN FABRIC:
Lightweight woven, non-stretch fabric, such as satin, silk crepe, silk twill, cotton shirting, lawn, voile, batiste, swiss dot, or rayon. Consult your pattern for yardage.
You’ll learn sewing techniques such as how to make straps, add (optional) laces and elastic at the waist, cut to sew on the bias, make a rolled hem, and find out the best ways to sew lightweight cotton such as lawn, voile, satins, or rayons.
You can use these skills to make a nightgown or a slip later.

Ages 18 and up with knowledge of how to sew from a garment pattern and comfortable with a sewing machine. Max of 4 students
