Our studio mission is to teach home sewing skills from beginners to advanced, with small class sizes that are hands-on for our students. Although we have classes that include all types of textile arts, what sets us apart is the love of teaching how to make well-fitting, well-constructed clothes from beautiful fabrics that are classic and will last many years. We measure success by the smiles on our students’ faces as they leave with a garment they can wear with pride for years, or something made for their homes that will be useful, used, and have meaning.
All our instructors are perpetual sewers and learners, most with years of experience and knowledge, but also with a curious nature for learning a new technique or skill. Our mission, which we have accepted, is to engage a generation that has not yet felt the pride of their own workmanship, and to have those with skills start to use them again.
