The Blazer's Little Sister

from $270.00

It’s the carefree, spunky little sister of the polished, tailored blazer, and it will be one of the most worthwhile additions to your wardrobe. This blazer is lined and fairly loose-cut but can be tightened with a belt or button to accentuate the waist. Use it to elevate a casual vibe; throw it over your favorite hoodie. You can pair it with a tailored button-down for a more business or dressed-up look. Search #fibremoodkai on Instagram for more ideas and reviews of this pattern.

In this 3-part class, students will gain skills in:
Cutting and marking a pattern
Sewing and fitting a muslin
Fusing interfacing to fabric for extra strength and structure
Setting a sleeve
Inserting shoulder pads
Sewing a collar
Bagging-out a lining
Mitering corners for a polished finish

Basic sewing knowledge of garment sewing and reading a pattern is required since some home sewing may be required. Students should be comfortable threading their machines and sewing straight and curved lines. It’s best to complete Stitch, Style, Create Course 1 or equivalent before registering for this class. After taking Stitch-Style-Create II, basic garment classes, this class is the next step for growing skills.

Select this option during registration if you’d like help getting ready.

The cost is an extra $40 per student. ($70 if taking a private class.)
