Ashleigh has been sewing her entire life. As a child, she fell in love with the simplicity of hand sewing as she sewed old buttons onto scraps of fabric with her grandma. She learned about the patience of hand quilting from her great aunt. She learned how to use a sewing machine at her 4-H advisor’s farmhouse (she’s a farm girl!). She made a quilt in her high school sewing class. And for the past 25 years, she has been passionately continuing her sewing education the best way possible - making as many things as possible and learning from her mistakes (and lots of blogs and YouTube tutorials)!
She and her family recently relocated back to Columbus after spending the last 16 years in Los Angeles, where she homeschooled her two children and taught hand and machine sewing to kids and adults. She loves bold colors, busy designs and always has some sewing projects with her wherever she goes.
