MATERIALS NEEDED to make a SMALL (LARGE) Cumbria Tote Bag:
FQ (FAT QUARTER) of fabric measures 18”h x 21”w
FABRIC A (main exterior panel A + handles) - 1 FQ (1/2 yd)
FABRIC B (main exterior panel B) - 1 FQ (1/2 yd)
FABRIC C (lining) - 3/4 yard (3/4 yd)
FABRIC D (pocket divider – exterior) - 1 FQ (1/2 yd)
**INTERFACING (Pellon SF101 or other comparable fusible interfacing) - 2 yd (2 yd)
**FUSIBLE FLEECE (Pellon 987f) 1/2 yd (1/2 yd)
**#3 NYLON ZIPPER one– 10” or longer (14” or longer)
one– 6” or longer (8” or longer)
**snap for closure – magnetic, heavy duty, kamsnap
SUGGESTED FABRICS:
FABRIC A, B - canvas, Essex linen, cotton/linen blend fabric, denim, medium-weight home décor fabric
FABRIC C, D - quilting cotton

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: intermediate (You need to know how to set up and operate a sewing machine, and sew straight lines. Have taken Intro To Your First Sewing Project or equivalent is necessary)
The group class must have at least two registered participants to run. Our group classes are designed for shared learning in groups of up to four at a time.
We’ll email you a week before class if it doesn’t meet the 2-student minimum. You’ll have the option to switch to a private lesson, join the waiting list, move your credit to another class, or get a refund.”
