Teach Me To Sew Course 1: Junior Series

Your young one can learn to machine sew in this course, tailored for ages 9-

You will make a standard-sized pillowcase with a coordinating cuff, a button-top tote bag, and a matching zipper wallet with key ring, elastic waist shorts, or an elastic waist skirt.

Skills learned: setting up threads, winding a bobbin, changing a needle, preventing jams, proper use of tools, finishing seams, using patterns, following sewing instructions, making button-holes, using fusible interfacing, lining bags, adding elastic, and getting the right measurements.

You’ll need to bring:
fabric shears,
seam ripper,
tape measure,
straight pins
pin cushion
fabric chalk pencil

Bring your machine, or rent one of ours, with the standard and zipper foot attachments that came with it.

Four 2-hour classes

$50 for the course kit with all the materials, instructions, and patterns you will need

$250 for Flex-Schedule or scheduled groups of two to four.

$375 for Flex-Schedule Private, One-On-One classes with you and the instructor
