Open Sew Events
Third Thursday Thrift Flip Open-Sew! Come to The Sewing Hive every Third Thursday (holidays excluded) from 6-9 pm to spend time with Hannah and upcycle and restyle your clothes.
She’ll guide you in gaining useful, eco-friendly sewing skills. Reserve 1–3 hours to save your spot. Bring your materials, clothing, and ideas.
Machines and tools are available to rent and share.
We also have a mini thrift store for fabric and notions. Fabric swapping with attendees is also encouraged!
*Bonus: each month, Hannah demos a new upcycling trick. Ages 16+ and adults.
There’s a minimum enrollment of two to hold the event.
Only $20, and no skills are required.

Open Sewing Meetup: Sew Together, Share Ideas & Make Friends
Bring your sewing, embroidery, mending, knitting, crochet, or handwork project and enjoy a friendly sewing circle where creativity and community come together.

Sunday, June 28, from 10 am-12:30 pm, we are having another Sewing For The Greater Good event!
Let’s have some fun as we sew for those in need as we make some easy-sew bedside baskets for hospital patients.
Martha West, one of our teachers, sews with the Riverside Hospital Sewing Group and is getting us together again to sew for hospital patients. There is no charge for the session, and we'll show you how to sew them.
If you are nervous about sewing, you can help by cutting out the fabric as we go.
You must bring your sewing machine, a universal size 80/12 machine needle, scissors, and pins. We will supply fabric and patterns.

Sewing Meetup
Looking for a place to get away and focus on your sewing projects?
Join us for sewing on the first Fridays of the month, 5-8 pm at The Sewing Hive
There are three big cutting tables, sewing tables, and lots of space to get those projects done at this venue.
Bring your sewing equipment and materials you are working on.
There is parking in our lot and on nearby side streets.
You must be at least 18 years old to attend.
The fee is $10 to keep the lights on.

Ladies Night Sewcial
Do you sew a little, a lot or not at all, but would like to spend an evening with other ladies having a fun time? This event is geared to you - sign up yourself and invite a friend to two and hang out with us at the Sewing Hive!
We will have some social time and then some ‘sewcial’ time and make a simple reversible basket that you can keep or gift to someone special.
Space is limited, registering ahead of time is necessary. All supplies are included with the price.
From 5:00-6:00 we will have check in and social time, then sewing will start at 6:00.
If you have a sewing machine, please bring it to use, or rent one of ours here.
