Level 1:
Extreme Beginner Level Sewing
Little Hands with Big Ideas!
This is where their sewing journey begins…
When they know how to thread a machine, can sew a straight line, and have the curiosity to learn more.
Hand-sewing for ages 6+
Youth, ages 9+
Learn to sew in one 2-hour class (ages 9+). Make a pillowcase while learning basics: threading the machine, changing the needle, sewing straight lines, backstitching, finishing seams, pivoting corners, using pins, fabric markers, shears, and machine needles. You’ll also wind a bobbin, change stitch settings, cut fabric from a simple pattern, and fix common machine problems like thread jams and puckering.
Options and Cost:
Flex-Schedule or listed scheduled date Group class (2-4 students): $65 includes all fabrics and materials in your choice of colors. Class kit is $25
Flex-Schedule Private one-on-one: $90 includes all fabrics and materials in your choice of colors. (guaranteed to run).
For each student, the required Class kit costs $25 and is available here.
Bring your machine or rent one of ours for $10
Scheduling:
Some classes have set dates/times. If a listing has no date, the instructor will email you after you register to schedule. If a group class doesn’t meet the 2-student minimum, you’ll be emailed a week before class with options: upgrade to private, join the waitlist, pick another date, move your credit, or get a refund.
