You know the basics of machine sewing and are ready to explore simple, beginner-level projects.
Learn to sew a lined drawstring bag with a boxy bottom and decorative accent at the top. 8”wide x 10”tall x 2”deep
This is a good beginner project, as you’ll learn about notches, sewing a drawstring channel, and lining bags.
$65 for a scheduled or Flex-Schedule group of 2-4
$95 for a Flex-Schedule private session.
An $18 kit is required for this class and includes all the fabric, drawstrings, thread, patterns, and written instructions. You can purchase it here.

Turn Your Old Jeans into a Cross-Back Apron
Ready to give your favorite worn-in denim a second life? In this hands-on sewing class, you’ll transform a pair of old jeans into a stylish, durable cross-back apron—perfect for cooking, crafting, gardening, or studio work.
This workshop is designed for confident beginners and beyond. You’ll learn how to deconstruct jeans, cut and piece denim efficiently, and construct a comfortable cross-back apron.

Bring two pairs of adult-sized jeans (the larger the better for more fabric options sewing machine, a size 90/14 machine needle, seam ripper, fabric scissors, fabric marker or chalk, contrasting or matching all-purpose thread, and straight pins.
$75 for a three-hour scheduled or Flex-Schedule group class,
$110 for a Flex-Schedule private one-on-one class.
If a class date doesn’t work for you we offer Flex-Schedule classes so you can coordinate a date and time with the instructor once the order is placed.
For ages 16+ and adults who know how to use, set up threads, troubleshoot, and successfully sew with a sewing pattern.
Double Zipper Wallet for Beginners
This small size pouch features two separate zipper sections and a hook for attaching to your belt loop, purse, car keys, etc. The outside pocket is great for change, a house key or your ID. The larger inside pocket will hold your key fob, credit cards, money, lipstick, or other small items.
This pattern was designed by Susan (Instructor) and has been a best-seller at craft shows and online for many years.
This class will involve ironing and sewing only; the kit mentioned below will have all pieces pre-cut.
Bring your sewing machine and zipper foot along.

The pattern and kit will need to be purchased separately for $18. Additional kits without the pattern may be purchased for $12 once the first pattern/kit is purchased.
The class will be a single 2-hour session.
Class or group (2-4): $50. We will hold the class once two students have registered, so please ask a friend to sign up as well!
You can order a Flex-Schedule Class if there aren’t any dates listed that work for you for a group or private lesson. Your instructor will contact you once the order is placed to coordinate a date and time that works for all.
Private class with just you and the instructor: $85
We will contact you once you place the order to begin coordinating dates and times for everyone to attend.
Did you learn how to use your machine and want to start with a fun garment project? Starting sewing projects like these should be on your list as a new sewist. Learn to sew cozy pajama shorts or pants for yourself or your loved ones.
SKILLS YOU WILL GAIN: how to create an elastic waistband, make buttonhole drawstring openings, finish seams, hem, add pockets, optional faux fly, and measure for the perfect fit.
BRING TO CLASS:
Sewing tools: pins, fabric scissors, fabric marking chalk or pen, tape measure, seam ripper, and the button-hole foot that came with your machine for the optional drawstring openings.
THE REQUIRED KIT: has your fabric, patterns, and written instructions will be waiting for you, so you won’t have to go shopping.
Also, bring your sewing machine or rent one for $10 per class if you need to use ours.
As a prerequisite for the class, adults should know how to operate and thread a sewing machine independently.
A 3-hour group scheduled or Flex-Schedule class (2-4 students) is $75, and a $30 kit per student
If you don’t have a machine, you can rent one for $10
A 3-hour Flex-Schedule private class (1 student) is $95, and $30 for the kit.
There needs to be at least 2 students in a scheduled or flex-schedule class, so register with a friend.
If you select a Flex-Schedule option, your instructor will email you to coordinate dates and times that work best for everyone.
Learn how to sew with commercial sewing patterns. You will find out to choose the correct pattern and use it with understanding.
You will learn how to find the right size, interpret the instructions, and find suitable fabrics and patterns online.
You’ll leave with a reference guide to include fabric samples, helpful images, and technique samples you sew in class.
Bring your sewing machine, scissors, pins, fabric marker, all-purpose thread, and any patterns you’d like to ask a question about.
Once you place a Flex-Schedule class order, your instructor will email you to coordinate a date and time that works for everyone. This helps you not have to miss if the listed dates don’t work fir you.
Flex-Schedule Group or scheduled classes: $65
Group classes without a specific date require a minimum of 2 students to run. You may upgrade to a private class if you don’t want to wait.
Flex-Schedule Private classes are $95

If you took Intro to Sewing, or understand how to set up and sew on a sewing machine.
2 hours of instruction
Make a beautiful one-of-a-kind fully lined zipper pouch for yourself or someone else. Great for cosmetics, dog treats, travel, or holding small tools.
SKILLS YOU WILL GAIN:
In this class, you will learn how to sew in a zipper, use fusible interfacing, and miter the bottom so it stands on its own.
