This week at The Sewing Hive has been awesome and we have you to thank for it! On Wednesday evening we had our first ever Bee Social event which will happen the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6-9pm. Our attendees made it fun with rooms full of happy folks sharing their sewing projects and tips! We had two special, engaging guests there that we hope you will all get to meet someday.
You should also know Anita has been stocking the store with bolts of garment fabric, more than Sew To Speak has ever had. Such wonderful news, since we love sewing clothing and you sewists know Columbus doesn't have much in garment fabric! Happy Dance!
The other special attendee we had was Paula DeGrand, talented seamstress of vintage style clothing and author of Getting It Sewn, an online publication with clever and humorous topics about life and sewing. She's been featured in Threads Magazine, too! We really think you should subscribe to her blog!
We'd also like to thank Alissa Head, executive director of Global Gifts, for coming in to present to us a beautiful basket full of Fair Trade goodies. That chocolate was amazing by the way!
